THE EXALTATION OF CHRIST SUPPLIES THE FULLEST PROOF OF THE COMPLACENT ACCEPTANCE OF HIS SACRIFICE. Therefore, we should never cease to reflect daily for at least a short while on the greatness of God’s salvation, that we may be reminded that His mercies are new every morning (Lam. 2. Lastly, it is a great mystery, especially in respect of faith itself, faith being so contrary to the nature of man.
